“It gives me great pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of TPD Construction as a general contractor. I have now worked on three separate projects of varying scope and nature over the last months at the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport with TPD and recommend the firm highly.
During the construction of the Airport’s new snow removal equipment storage and office building, there were many challenges with everything from cost, to utilities, to design, to sub-contractor mistakes, to weather.
Throughout all of these challenges, TPD nimbly maneuvered to keep the project on track, demonstrating the ability to move quickly and adapt to changes while also maintaining professionalism and high standards. It was a great relief to me to know I could head down the road at any time to the office on Main Street in Sanford to address and resolve the issues that inevitably arise as part of construction projects.
I was continually impressed with the Project Manager, Kevin Coons’s, ability to find solutions and moved forward rather than focusing on assigning blame. I cannot imagine successfully completing this project on time and within budget as we did without TPD on board.
Of particular note was our site superintendent, Bob Morey. With Bob on site, day-to-day operations were always in good hands. Each particular aspect of the job was done with care and precision, accurately and to specification if not above, and he is a gifted woodcrafter. In addition, he is extremely clean and tidy in the workplace. If there was a problem, Bob had a solution.
Two other smaller renovation projects were completed on the Airport’s terminal building with TPD as the General Contractor: a major section of roofing was replaced with beautiful results and the restaurant’s kitchen was taken down to the studs and rebuilt. Once again, TPD proved to be flexible enough to get these much smaller projects accomplished despite setbacks and the unexpected troubles that come with renovations.
