Kennebunk, ME
TPD was brought on by the Kennebunk, Kennebunkport and Wells Water District (KKW) to construct a brand new 2,914 SF GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) Pressure Filtration Facility with a 72,000 gallon reinforced concrete holding tank. The new GAC Pressure Filtration Facility allows the KKW District to treat groundwater by removing trace amounts of PFOS (perfluorooctanesulfonic acid) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) from water pumped for the adjacent Kennebunk River wellhead.
